Weight Training

We are excited to announce that we have partnered up with Titan Performance Centre for custom made basketball specific workouts designed by Joey Kwasniewski, head strength coach of the Professional basketball team Ottawa Blackjacks, who has also been the strength coach for the CFL’s Calgary Stampeders. Players will work on building strength, conditioning, quickness etc utilizing movements that will translate directly to the basketball court. Workouts are open to the public, fill out the form at the bottom of the page to get started!

Individual Training

Private skills training

For players who want to hyperfocus on specific weaknesses with custom designed workouts that will break down the issues to the micro level, and fix it brick by brick. The initial workout will be an assessment in which Coach Kiwi will run the player through different drills to see what the player is struggling with, such as shooting, ball handling, finishing, as well as more complex skills such as using the pick and roll, post work etc.

Small group training(3-6 people)

Private skills training

For a small group of players who want to train in a group setting and have the same weaknesses that they would like to improve upon. Players will receive high level instruction, and end workouts playing small sided games that force the players to use the skills they worked on in the workout in a competitive setting, and get instant feedback which will allow them to make adjustments in real time against a live defense in a workout setting, rather than making these mistakes in games.

Large group training(7+ people)

Private skills training

For a large groups of players who would like to work on their weaknesses in a group setting. Players will receive high level instruction and end workouts similar to a small group session in which there will be small sided games to enforce what was worked on in the workout, all the while getting instant feedback in real time within the workout

Game Film Study

The best way a player can improve upon his game off the court is by watching film, because like they say “Film doesn’t lie”. More important than just watching film however, is knowing what you’re looking at. Coach Kiwi who has played both professional basketball and at the national level for Team Eritrea, will go over film and break down ways a player can be better both offensively and defensively, to the micro level. Players will send video to Coach Kiwi to go over on his own time, and that video will then be used in the film session.
