Why Join
Why Join the Jr. NBA?
Our Jr. NBA program is more than just basketball. It’s an exciting way for kids to learn new skills, make friends, and get active. Whether your child is new to the game or wants to improve, this program teaches essential skills and team-building in a fun, structured way.
Our JR NBA program will be specially led by professional basketball player Ykealo Araia, which will make it a unique experience for kids as he will be able to use his professional expertise to modify the workouts for the kids depending on their ability level, while giving exceptional instruction and a complete understanding of how to explain and demonstrate drills.

What Kids Will Learn

Each skill is taught with age-appropriate drills and games that make learning fun and keep kids engaged.

Dribbling
How to control the ball and move around the court.

Passing

Shooting
Basics of shooting, from close-up shots to layups.

Defense
Learning how to guard and defend players.
Curriculum by Age Group
The Jr. NBA curriculum is customized by age to make sure each child learns at their own pace:
At this level, we focus on introducing the basics in a playful, beginner-friendly way. Kids learn through fun games and activities that keep them active and excited to participate. Skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting are taught in easy-to-understand steps.
Kids start to build on their skills with more structured drills. We introduce simple techniques to help them control the ball better, pass more accurately, and shoot with more confidence. The focus is still on fun but with a bit more challenge.
At this stage, the Jr. NBA curriculum becomes even more challenging. Players start learning real basketball techniques like layups, footwork, and positioning on the court. We introduce basic basketball strategies to help players make good decisions and work as a team. This level helps kids transition to competitive play while building their confidence and athletic ability.
